There are few reasons why you should study at MDIS

I chose to study in MDIS Malaysia based on a few factors such as the price, convenience, reputation, background check and job market after graduate. There are several advantages in studying in a local MDIS college.

Firstly, it is much cheaper studying in a local MDIS than a Singapore based MDIS. Studying locally, I do not have to spend so much money to get a well recognized Singapore cerfiticate. To get a local diploma and degree, I need less than RM 60 000 tuition fee whereas malaysian students who study in Singapore need approximately RM100 to 200 thousands to get the exact same cert. The cost of living here is so much more lower. I can cut down a lot of expenses on food and transport. For a simple meal here, I only need RM7 but in Singapore it would likely cost me RM11. Further more, I don’t need accomodation which save me a huge amount. If I
need accomodation, it will be a heavy burden and I will unlikely study in Singapore.

Travel wise, it is more convenient for both my parents and me. The travelling time to get from my house to City Square MDIS is about an hour and daily I need 2 hours for travel. However, if I study in Singapore it would takes me 4 hours which is double the time. Thus, lots of time and energy will be taken up in travel. In addition, the immigration hassle could be a big problem after a long tiring day of studying and travel. Those extra travelling time could be well spent elsewhere. I wish to use all those extra hours studying, but most Singapore MRT trains and buses are pretty crammed especially during peek hours which is not conducive for study nor listening to MDIS lecture notes. Thinking about the hassle of travelling to and from Singapore demotivates me from studying there. In time, I may get used to the hassle of travel but the extra travelling time is a waste.

Generally, Singapore educational level is higher. I believe MDIS will offer me a quality education. As such, the job market opportunities will be much better after my graduation. I would not be surprised to see difference result in job prospect for an alumnus who took the same course through a Malaysian college and another through a Singaporean college. Job wise, I believe the later has a higher degree of acceptance in his application at a Singaporean company. Singapore accredited certificate stands a better chance in a tight job market in Singapore and Asia. With this confidence, I chose MDIS with peace of mind.
